About Me

Hi, my name is Trudy and I'm 52 years old, I live in surrey with Jeff my husband of 36 years, we have three grown up children and two granddaughters. I love all kinds of craft and recently I have been doing needed felting, until my son gave me a triang 45 dolls house now i'm hooked on getting it restored, and the needle feltings back in the cupboard.

Thanks Trudy. You will be busy the rest of your life now, never mind the winter.I started about 15 years ago and have made over 30 dolls houses and refurbished about the same number.I currently have 12 at home but will be selling 3 of them.when will it end????? I'm not building much these days due to arthritis but there are still bargains to be found as you know, so I am quite happy to decorate and furnish them for my friends!
I have an album of Joan's friends houses which are worth looking at for ideas, my friend Diane is particularly inventive, being financially challenged!!!

You are doing ok, i've had all your messages. I'm not brilliant at this sort of thing either, but i've just had nearly 3 weeks leave from work (back in on Friday- gulp!) so i've been messing around on the site alot and leaving loads of comments! i think i've got the hang of it now.
You say you have Triang 55 for 8, wow..mine was 45 and I thought i had done well!
You know you are on the slipperry slope to loads of house buying now so I hope you have got pleanty of space. your new house is quite similar to your other, I wonder if you will do it in the same style? My houses just seem to evlove on their own, and like you, I make alot of things myself. Have you had a good look at all the albums on this site. Joans houses are great, they are mainly in the 'made by us' section. Have a look at her Childrens Houses album. They are full of ideas. Let me know the sort of thing you like.

Love your album, it realy brings a smile to your face. Just think- that house was heading for the dump! All the homemade furniture looks great and I bet you have learnt loads by doing it. Judging by those figures, youv'e definately got artistic flair, arthritic fingers or not!

hi Trudy, i just wondered how the house was comming along? i am relativley new to this sort of thing but i bought a Triang 55 a few week ago which looks very similar to yours (in a bit better state though, i have to say!). I've been busy decorating mine and some times i'm pleased with it, and then at other times I look at and i think it looks like an explosion in a wallpaper factory! not a good look realy! I haven't put my triang pictures on this site yet as i'm waiting untill i feel happier with the end result. I just wondered how you were getting along as you mention in your profile that it is your first time at this sort of project.
