Thanks for your reply... come on, put your photos of the houses you have so we can be nosey at least! Good to hear you got another one; if you see one for sale it's addictive isn't it! Does the Brixham one need work? I look at all the D'house books and wish I had a grand father or someone like that to make all woody things as I would be in Heaven then making this and that - but yet again I am not very good creating with wood - altho I have joined a Doll's House Club in our town (which is fab and so much fun and lovely people) and next month's meeting is 'making woody things' so you never know!! Last month we made hats; I was actually surprised as I never thought I would be able to make those and they came out ok.. and looked in a book and there's a way of making hat boxes, leather gloves, umbrella's, lampshades etc... so just emailed one of my sons who is in California at mo with work and said I am going to play 'Doll's Houses' today! There's no hope for me now a days! I am still collecting, thinking, preparing and planning. Got a few bread bins to do, made and started plans for a garden and then I think after the Dolls house Fair I want to go to in August I will 'perhaps' start to decorate my first house.. shappby Chic tho. Look forward to seeing some of your ideas on here!!! Take care, hugs, X

Welcome, I have only been a member for a few weeks so I thought I would send you a welcome message! People on here are so friendly and I have found them so helpful etc. Devon - lovely - I use to live near Bude (Week St Mary) so do miss it so much down there. If you read 'about me' I am in the same boat as you but 3 sons so they def have no interest in my hobby! But I use to have antique shops so they understand my passion for things at least - they think I am mad but love me at the same time!!! Anyway, hope to see/hear and look forward to seeing your photos etc on here and please do keep me up to date of anything good - they seem to have so much more in the States than we do here with D'houses etc. Do you make yours 'olden days' or now-a-days? At the mo I am collecting stuff and going to make a shabby chic one - which no one seems to do. Good Luck, Hugs, Charlotte (Dottie Lottie) X
