Dolls' Houses Past & Present

About Me

I have been collecting doll houses for about 15 years, it started with a splendid Voysey style tower house my husband Peter made for me.....and carried on from there. My passion is now for older houses but I still occasionally enjoy creating new. I do not tend to stick to one type and have a variety of ages and recent acquisitions have been larger scale Victorian houses. Although I really love the buildings I get the most pleasure from creating the interiors and I am constantly on the look out for interesting old things to go in the houses.

I have recently moved to Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk and would be interested in meeting any other collectors in the area and looking at their collections.

Hi Marcia, sorry for the late reply but haven't been on for a while.
Yes it is the one I bought from you! I loved seeing all your fabulous dolls houses when I came to collect the Gee Bee house. It was very kind of you to let us look at them.
I'm planning to decorate the inside of the Gee Bee with some 1930s period style papers and buy a few extra pieces of furniture. Hopefully now the summer is over and work settles down I'll get a bit of time to work on my houses!
Best wishes, Liz

Sorry Marcia,I have only just noticed your question about the battery lights. I only have the one oil lamp .I think it is quite realistic as it is not too bright. Just as an old oil lamp would have been

Hi, thankyou for the comment you left about my Triang house, Marcia. I take it as a great compliment as your German House album is absolutely beautifull. I love your decorating style!
All the best, Patricia Lois!
