About Me

Hi there,

I'm Johnny Clarke and I live in New Alresford, Hampshire, I live with my hubby Chris,(Chris on the left, me on the right of the photo) and we've been married for two yeays this July. We both work in care. I have always loved miniature ever since a child, having had several dolls houses, Sindy collection etc..various scales obvioulsy. Recently I started collecting Triang dolls house furniture, as we had some when we were kids...I built up quite a collection and decided it would be great to have a house to put it all in. i designed one and have sat on the plans for a while..thinbking how much will this actually cost..materials etc...then decided to look on ebay..and found the perfect house, a proper 'real' home with a back and front just like a real house..it was home made back in the late 50s early 60s I would say by the decor/style. I bought it for the brilliant sum of £25.00 B.I.N and went down to Poole, just an hours drive south of us...which made a nice day out for us as well. Result !...It's now situated on the dining table and in the process of 'building' work...which is great fun. Here's a link to my facebook page and all the pictures so far...

hi Johnny, Chris
welcome to DHPP,
love the house, what a blast, i think everyone had at least one of those items of furniture in the 60's 70's, the problem i'd have is would i decorate or leave it original?, hmmmmm!, decisions decisions.

Hi Johnny
Great house. I love the kitchen. I also love the furniture, especially the radiogram. Being born in the 60s some of the decor sparks vague memories. It will be such a satisfying project and I can't wait to see what you do with it. Please keep us up to date. I'd love to do a 60s house at some stage myself.
