About Me

Hello,

I had been like you all an enthusiastic vintage dollhouse collector, but 10 years ago I had to decide whether continue collecting or doing intensive reseach. I wanted to be a researcher and wrote a lot of articles in dollhouse magazines. I am am spending many hours in archives  - these are my "beach" holidays, I love most. As I like to share my knowledge  I have founded my own publishing company and I have finished  my third book about the Christian Hacker company.  All my books are written in German AND English. Through the years I have collected lots of material and like to help in identifying  dollhouses and accessories.

Hello... I was thrilled to see that you are researching and writing a book on Christian Hacker houses. I have a house that in some ways resembles a CH house...but then, not. I have asked a few of the experts in the eastern part of the USA for their opinions and no one can determine for sure who made this house. Could I send you a few photos and see what you might think? Thanks for your anticipated help. Louise (in No. California USA)

Please would it be possible to buy the English version of Swantje's Hacker book through the"for sale" pages of this site? I'm sure many of us would like to buy a copy.

Hi Swantje
It was certainly not the easiest restoration due to the lack of colour pictures. Luckily I did have some of the original mouldings and window surrounds and the calalogue picture but of course it is in black and white. Where would I be able to buy your reference books in English? I have Lexikon der Puppenstuben und Puppenhauser -in German- but still excellent for reference.
