I own a house handmade gentlemen who was in his 90's 25 years ago. He made many and donated to "not for profit" organizations for their fundraising.
I was fortunate to be able to bid and win one at one I attended, Unfortunately it sat in my basement partially wired until I retired 4 years ago. I have completed the wiring, installed lights, wallpapered and carpeted. Hope to have some photos on here soon as it is near completion. My e mail is

Mary Beth how nice to meet you.
How on earth did you manage to find so many Hackers, you must have tentacles all over the place. I will go and look at your photos. My Hacker is the Mansard Roof and I was given it when I was 10 (long story) but I think there is an elegance about them that other houses do not have. So many houses seem to have something wrong with the scale in some way, not enough space or the staircase is mean, the windows are small for the building things like that. Hackers seem to be reasonably genrous for small hands to play with
Best wishes from the other side of the pond.

Hello Marybeth
Thank you for your interest in my Hacker. If you can get a copy of Swantje Kohler's new book on Christian Hacker there is a photo on page 255, top left, no. 2, which is identical - it maybe is mine before the auction, except the lace curtains are different. I have enjoyed furnishing it - it suits the larger scale Schneegas and Waltershausen furniture. The only thing missing was its red stove, so I have made a replica until I find the real thing.
Best wishes
