About Me
My parents bought me my first dolls house in the early 60's from a family who lived up the road. I often wonder if the little girl whose dolls house it was ever missed it! My dad totally renovated it- but never got round to making a 'front'. I remember shopping trips to a lovely toy shop in Croyden, to choose furniture and accessories. In 1996, I reclaimed the house from my parents after several years living abroad, only to discover that my dear Mum and Dad had decided to decorate it throughout- therefore removing all the lovely 1960's wallpapers and floor coverings. I was very excited to discover ebay in 2002, as I was able to buy all the 'necessary' furniture my dolls house dolls had done without for so long- i.e a kitchen sink, a toilet! Now several dolls houses later, I am always on the look out for bits and pieces to make my dolls lives more comfortable! Post a CommentOops! The words you entered did not match the given text. Hi Sally, this is either an early Gee Bees, or a Shardlow house, not sure which. Please email me as I need your surname for the Dol-toi book, Hope you have my email address? Cheers Marion
Hello,
It's funny your picture as a child, I guess. I was small in the 60's as well. I never got a dollhouse. We just admired pictures of Lundby dollhouses in the magazine with my sister. They were too expensive. However, our friend had one. Now, more than 45 years later, I bought it. You have interesting dollhouse fairs in England! I saw pictures here. Especially when they are vintage or antique ones. I don't like modern. Regards, Ulla-Maija |
