I have 4 houses-- two Triang, one 1/24 scale that i bought in Portobello Road in Londan and brought back with me in a suitacase and this triggered my interest, and one larger one that my husband found on a business trip to UK, and got sent back here.
I have only been to the Miniatures weekend in Melbourne which I guess is a long way for you. At some stage I will take some photos and post them on the site.

hi carol, i have about 8 houses now..i would have more, but they are hard to find here and expensive to ship here from uk... i like the old ones they have so much charm, but i like antiques and vintage things, so its in my nature... just don't have enough funds to support the habit.. hehehe.
what do you have? do you buy much off ebay?there are a few aussies on here now, we are growing, its nice to meet others with the same vice.. maybe at one of the fairs... keep in touch

Hi Carol, thanks, glad you enjoyed it. I don't know of many other collectors here - Michelle was in South Australia, but is currently in England. There's The Shopping Sherpa in Canberra - she has a blog under that name. And I think that a lot of the people who had houses in the dolls house exhibition in Sydney 10 years ago are longtime collectors. I picked up a few copies of the International Dolls House News from about 20 years ago, which had a couple of articles about Canberra collectors, and some of the names were the same as in the Sydney exhibition. Do you ever get to miniatures fairs? I'd love to - suspect I might meet one or two other collectors of vintage dolls houses there.
Do you have any photos up of your collection? I'd love to see what you have.
cheers, Rebecca
