About Me

Collector of old houses and one off modern ones. Interested in particular in estate and baby houses that need restoring and very old furniture. I enjoy doing restorations too.

By day I run a GP surgery and I am a freelance writer specialising in Medical Management and dolls houses.

I live in Sunny Pevensey Bay on the Sussex Coast near Eastbourne with Peter my partner, Lewis the Westie (often seen at the Cobham fair) and two cats.

I have recently undergone weightloss surgery and to date have lost 12 stone.

Hi Daniel, wow you found a 2 story Hacker? That's cool. Does it have it's original floor and wall papers? I'm a master at reproducing the papers and could offer you my help if you desire it.

Hi Daniel,
yes, I'm back home, and I'm safe :)
it was a wondeful week end, and I have really enjoyed , meeting you and all my other friends. I'm so happy, that I would be ready to write an article, for the next magazine :)
Many thanks for having made it possible, and organized everything for me. It was very kind.
I hope, I shall see you again, may be next year, or before, if you decide to come in France :)
best wishes to you and Peter,

Hi Daniel, I'm new to this site and saw your post to Sally-Ann. Have you done any restorations to Christian Hacker Houses? I just bought my first and can see some holes in the front and am wondering if they originally had balconies. I love to restore old houses myself and would like to try and find pictures of my house to see if I'm right about the balconies. I live in Pasadena, California, a long way from you, but am really enjoying this site and meeting so many people who like me, enjoy antique dollhouses. I have a very large collection with many modern houses, too.

Michael

P.S. Congratulations on your recent weight loss. I've reduced my weight by 110 lbs in a year...feel so much better!
