Hello Marel,
Thanks for your offer. I purchased the house in February 2003 from a dealer who sold his wares at an antique mall called Antique Trove in San Carlos, California. I supect he made the purchase in England in 2002. I do not have the date. He told me it came from an estate sale and thought the doll's house was from Wigan. It has always been my belief that it was built as a model for a civic building. I intend to complete the interior into a 1920's public library. Any information you may come across would be greatly appreciated. Best regards, Mario
Hi, it is nice to hear from you. No the dolls house was not a family one, i bought it at an auction. It probably came from a house clearance. my email is royjames1953@yahoo.co.uk.
I got rid of the modern dolls house and am doing an old one instead.
hi,
i havent logged on for ages, i am not that great on the computer, but i have 3 sons who can help me. i did have difficulty putting the photo on, i tried several times and then it went on but wether i can get another on is debatable
Hi Marel, she told me all about it when we were there.Unfortunately she's not very good on the computer which is why I took the pictures and put the album on for her.We had a lovely day out and Mary is lovely. She took us in to her bungalow to see the latest house that she was renovating. She's a great cook too and gets up early every day and bakes for the cafe.
Hello, thanks for your message. I'm not very proficient at uploading photos but I'd probably improve if I did it more often. I have a Picture Trail site with a few of my houses on it but they are a bit old now - still, better than nothing if you'd like a peep http://www.picturetrail.com/pollyanthus
I have enjoyed your album, I must get round to doing mine; feel I'm slacking! Frances
Dear Marel,
I was happy too, to meet you in Cobham. I still have not made pictures of all the lovely (little) items , I have bought, and I'll try to do it tomorrow, and to share the pictures with you. I have brought the rain in South of France ![]()
