Dolls' Houses Past & Present

About Me

I am married, have a family and live in South Wales, U.K.

I never had a dolls house when I was young, or at least I cannot remember having one. My interest arrived in 1990 after going to a show. My hubby bought me a Honeychurch Victorian Shop dolls house for Christmas in 1991 which took me four years to get it out of the box and finally get it made. I havent stuck ridigly to Victorian desigining. I decorated and furnished it with what I liked. I am currently revamping the parlour to make the shop a tea room, but am having second thoughts and would rather a haberdashery. At the moment its still a tea room. I also have a second hand small flower shop and a gorgeous fashion boutique which were Christmas presents from my mum. Sadly the last one was my Boutique, but I have lots of happy and cherished memories of them with my mum. I am a member of a monthly miniature making club in which I sometimes I take a tutorial.

My other hobbies are Bobbin Lacemaking; have been making lace since 1985 . I have made lots of miniature handmade bobbin lace for my house and boutique. I love it! My other hobbies are cross stitch, revamping furniture, DIY, gardening, decoupage, and beading. I love to try most crafts.
