Hi Julie, Many thanks for your interest in my dollhouse. the rooms are rather large, two being201/2 by 171/2 and a very lage room of 42by171/2. I really would like to develop this house in the turn of the 1900's style. I can evisage a four=poster bed and leather chairs in the study. I am pleased that you feel I could do this in 1:12 scale as there is so much put there. I am also thinking about putting mouldings on the ceilings. I will be sending pictures later today when hubby is home to help. He has taken one of me standing next t5o the house so you can see how big it is! Any suggestions or tips will be MOST welcome. Enjoy the rest of your day, Laurainne.

Hi Laurainne
I found it hard to leave childhood behind - so chose primary education over my first role as a psychologist - far more fun! My bears and dolls were stored and, well, I think they had babies whilst I wasn't looking, as there are more now than when I was small....!
The doll's houses are a wonderful hobby. Mine are all vintage and one antique toys and I am tempted to build a 'grown up' version, ie a model, rather than a toy, but I am a bit fumbly, due to MS. We'll see what happens when we have space and my current health issue is resolved - cancer treatment is the pits and I don't feel like doing mch just now - but I'll be back! meanwhile, my dear old bears are keeping me company - what a child, eh?
Welcome to this wonderful group!

Can anyone help me please? I have a vintage dollhouse made of cedar wood. The rooms are 15 inches high. What scale would it be wise to use? Any suggestions as to where I can find appropriate furniture.?Thanks
