the folk here are so smart! i'd love to own an old house like some have with all the neat teeny things! but i discovered that i like the making of..rather than restoring or preserving. if you look at my photos, you will see a tiny cabin and a castle that i am going to work on. more my style! lol

I am Married with 1 grown up Daughter & 3 Grandchildren, I also have 2 Border Collies which I adore. I now work part time privately with the elderly. My fascination for Dolls Houses stems back to my childhood, I always wanted one but my Father was very ill so this meant financially times was a struggle for him. Every month I go to a general Auction sale which is located near to me, this particular day of the auction I went in & what did I see a beautiful Dolls house, I had not actually done any bidding on my own be for I usually leave that bit up to my Husband, however this day I was on my own I knew how much I wanted this Triang Dolls House, so the bidding started off at £1 English money I nervously held my bidding card up & went to £2, to cut a long story short I won it for the price of £5 English money. I was over the moon. Due to work commitments & not feeling too well, I had not touched my house! now I am feeling much better I am slowly getting there, I am wanting to give it the 1940s theme I have painted the outer walls, I now have to start inside. I am facing a few problems! this is why I joined this lovely site I am hoping that I will be able to get a few tips on how to tackle the inside. I have spent a lot of money on furniture 1940s type I looking forward to the day I can put all the rooms together. Then I can start on another one! that's if I have not sent my Husband mad in the mean time for ever talking Dolls Houses.
Elizabeth. :)
