About Me

I am married with 2 sons and work in a busy HR Department. I have a great interest in history and love finding out about local and family history.

When I was young my uncle made me and my sister a dolls house which was a replica of his own house. I have always been fascinated by dolls houses and loved the book The Tale of Two Bad Mice! When my mum moved a few years ago my husband managed to get the house out of the loft and it came to live with us. My boys liked choosing some furniture for it as the original furniture was too small scale. I started researching dolls houses and found out the furniture was Barton and loved the look of the Triang dolls houses. I have recently become the proud owner of a Triang 65 which is in quite good order but rusty on the front. I intend to renovate it and display my Barton furniture. I have definitely been bitten by the bug as am now keen to gain another earlier Triang and also love the Lundby Stockholm!

Hi Jane, no, I haven't had any posts from you about Ebay??? that's odd, did you post it on my profile page?

When I (if I), restore my 65, I shall leave the sides just as they are, marks and all. But I will have to re-tape and paint it's roof. I shall have to strip, sand, prime and paint the metal parts. I shall have to do some research into priming metal!

Hi Jane, have you seen the album 'sue's Triang 65'? there are only 3 photos but I thought you might be interested.
If you have seen my Ebay stuff, you will know that there is a 'T 65' in my listings that also has a rusty front, if no one buys it, then I too will be restoring it myself. I already have a 'T 55' that i haven't had to restore and I love it, it is full of furniture!
