Dolls' Houses Past & Present

About Me

I am Jane and I live in Concord, New Hampshire, US and have been collecting dollhouse furniture since I received an 1890's dollhouse that was handed down to me when I was about 10. I now have several more houses in various stages of completion.

Hi Jane!

I am writing a biography of sorts about the dollhouse. It has such a fascinating history over which its meanings have changed-- from its value as a possession and creation of Carrie's, and its movement to the museum, and how the visitors appreciate and derive meaning from the house.

I'd love to hear about your experiences with the dollhouse, if you are willing to share them. Thanks!

Welcome to DHPP, Jane. Love your profile pic. Looking at all the miniatures you have in your fantastic collection, that unpacking is going to take you some time!
