I am assuming that the double sides were originally just into the 4 main rooms and three have been sub-divided into smaller rooms. I have only just realised this after seeing one for sale on eBay which just has the 4 rooms, but I don't think it had so many attic windows - just one at the front but it had the sundial, etc.

I now know that the house that I saw was a 55, a smaller version of the 80 - made in 1931 and in the last ever J & G Lines catalogue.

The 1925 catalogue description states that this house has eight rooms, and that it opens front and back.
