This was part of a job lot. The periwinkle shell comes from the beach in Ireland near where my mother lives.

Same here, Anita. I bought a wee bag of tiny shells from a shell/curio shop in Southport and picked loads off North Berwick beach , I used them in the Orcadian natural world display in my nursery. I like the warm marble effect of the clock Edel...

Love the clock and the shell. I have lots of tiny shells I collected from Herm beach - off Guernsey years ago on holiday. I must dig them out and use them.
