Zoe, if you haven't got someone to sit beside you and work in tandem there are a lot of tutorials on youtube that are very comprehensive and easy to follow if you or anyone else ever choose the youtube route just make sure that you learn the 'British/UK' way as the only other choice is the American way and they use different terminology for stitches and the hooks have different sizes...
Thanks Jan, when I look at it on the chaise I know it's tiny but I am just thinking now it may be a bit small (we know that makes sense)... I may add a few more rows to it so it hangs down more , I'm placing it on the bathroom pulley and I think it would be better longer

After ripping out a few times, I finally decided to use one strand of embroidery silk thread. I just used the chaise to display these as I think the blanket will end up on the pulley in the bathroom , the cushion's back is entirely green...
