Aha! Up the right way!
The china cabinet (full of nick-nacks) and the sideboard are very good quality. Could the desk be another Elgin of Enfield? It has a leg missing unfortunately, but has been reassigned an (almost) matching one. The table is very good quality too - any ideas anyone?

This furniture is quite lovely. I would be surprised if any of it were Elgin -- wrong colour and handles -- but it is all rather beautiful and of lovely quality. The tall bookshelf at the back I would say is German but the others, I have no idea.

All these thing look very fine quality, do any of them have makers marks underneath?

I am looking forward to finding the right place for the house - it's so huge that at the moment it's in two parts in my work room. It deserves a little tidy up (a few bits to mend and maybe going over the bright red painted bits) and a place where it can be seen and enjoyed.
