Most of these items came from the KDHF - before eBay. So I would save up all the money that I could and just have the one splurge every May and then lie fallow for 12 months. It was so difficult to find items apart from fairs in those days, and, since I worked on Saturdays I rarely had a chance to go to any.

My eye lit on the elegant brown teapot too! I am so envious. The whole display is delightful, of course.

Wonderful pieces. The brown teapot looks so cosy and reminiscent of the fifties.

Brooksey says...
I'm green with envy at some of the delights on this beautifully-stocked dresser, because I know that they were made years ago, and will never be produced again. In particular I'm coveting the hare terrine, the bee skep honey pot and that absolutely gorgeous brown teapot - I've never seen one as good before!

[It goes without saying that the magnificent Jane Newman dresser is itself a treasure, too!].

Here here! And Brooksey is a real connoisseur of brown teapots!

The lovely Jane Newman dresser does contain my best modern treasures, and since Jane worked in conjunction with Stokesay ware - everything fits beautifully.
