Oh dear
"I was put into a box" Harold went on " it wasn't a bad box, I had some of my furniture, but then the woodworm came, and the spiders, and other loathsome insects which viewed me as a nest site" he stopped unable to go on. George and Harold sat contemplating the dreadful fate that many Greconfolk faced. Then George sat quietly with Harold untill he fell asleep.

Great story and comments. I know this will end well and Harold will live happily ever after.

Grecon lovers, I see, are very soft hearted, bless them all.

Poor Harold...he's lucky to have found a home with you. Wonderful narrative Val, hope there's never an outbreak of the Margate Whoopsies!

An amusing but also harrowing little tale! I'm so glad this little survivor found his way to this particular grown up.

Jenni, the answer to your question is yes (though I never can reply to your comments for some strange reason) - photos of the full face replacement surgery I carried out on my little Wendell are in the Grecon dolls album!

Do Grecons have fabric surgeons to deal with facial disfigurement?
Poor, poor Harold. And now he is to lose his glasses and add visual impairment to his difficulties? What a fate!

Rosemary says...
Those spectacles will have to go or the verdigris will poison him.

Oh my, yes, I hadn't noticed it. I shall snip them quietly while Harold is asleep.
