It was a plaything, and you were a child, so don't beat yourself up. It's lovely that you still have it! Too many adult collectors had their childhood dolls houses given away by their parents, because it was supposed that the houses had been out grown (myself included!). You CAN restore it and will be able to delight in it again!

It has a lovely cottage charm with the beams and the lattice windows/door.
