Yes the bed doesn't match the one in bedroom furniture set 5339. The wardrobe, the little chair and the wash stand( which I have put downstairs) are the same. The bed and the dressing table seem to be from a different set. The same with the Drawing room set. 5276 The catalogue picture shows a different table and a screen.

Ah, mystery explained - thanks, Lezli and I'm pleased it's not just me who gets mixed up from time to time! The bed is an unusual design, I didn't see that in Rebecca's article did you? Always good to see new pieces and you are SO lucky to have these twelve pieces in the original house they were made for - just brilliant! I think you're right about how unusual the curved fretwork on the windows is, I can't see any other example either, though I've only had a quick look.

I'm confused - I do like to get to the bottom of things - the wardrobe, chairs and sofa are definitely in the Handicrafts catalogues featured in Rebecca's article in this site's ezine (I have the chairs and sofa myself so remembered seeing them and just checked to make sure this morning) but I don't see them in the Hobbies article. So they both did the same designs?

The twelve pieces of original fretwork furniture that came with the house are definitely Hobbies I have the catalogue pages and numbers for them. All the wallpaper is original.
