It seemed like only yesterday he had been sunning himself by the pool in Palm Bay, Florida.
His wonderful American hostess, Holly, had looked after him like he was royalty himself - what a kind and helpful lady. Still all good things must come to and end and here he was back on duty. The three-week, all expenses paid holiday had been entirely unnecessary of course, he was loyal man and nothing would have induced him to spread gossip about his beloved Queen - working in such close proximity to the Tower of London on a day to day basis had that effect on a chap, he mused. I thought it was your swimming pool, Zoe. Great collaboration though between yourself and Holly - I believe we have more fun and laughter on this great website than anywhere else... it's brilliant.

For anyone puzzled by this photo, I must tell you that Beefy was for sale in the US from a seller who only sold within the US but Holly kindly secured his safe passage back to the UK for me. "A kind and lovely lady" indeed!

It is quite wonderful, Rosemary! Especially on a day, like today, when my thermometer has topped 98 degrees Fahrenheit! This pool is only about 10,000 gallons and is considered a "splash" pool. Three feet in the shallow end and 6 feet in the deep. It's still pretty "cool", (pun intended)! Beefy merely saw it as a fantastic photo opportunity, lol. This is, of course, because he doesn't live here.

Oh what bliss 98 degrees Fahrenheit sounds! I'm sure we used to get those temperatures once upon a time - I blame the metric system - metric units just aren't as hot as those old imperial ones. Maybe that Brexit-backing terrier from Greconville was right after all!
