Front View 1
This dolls house was made from 4 cardboard boxes, stuck together and with a paper mache "plaster" exterior covering applied (see last photo for the recipe). Roof was made from Corrugated cored plastic sheet. Front door "cut ' into the box form. The window design was stamped onto white glossy photo paper using a "card" stamp (her main hobby is greeting card making). Two pieces were cut out and glued together with plastic film between and then glued over cutouts in the walls.

This is impressive! The 'rendered' exterior is excellent. Member Jenny has a little cottage (Mill Lade Cottage) made by her friend from cardboard boxes and papier mache and the exterior looks very similar - I wonder if her friend got the idea from the same magazine.

Amazing what can be made with cardboard. Very sweet house.

A really jolly and friendly house - beautiful. Really like the routine with the making of the windows. What I'd love to know is how she stopped it going all floppity when she added the mache covering to the box surfaces

Hi. The paper mache was made from a recipe found in the "Dollshouse and Miniature Scene" magazine. It has toilet paper as the base and it went all mushy and was able to be "Plastered" on.
