In her book, ' Family Dolls' Houses', published in 1973, Vivien Greene features the Nunnington Baby House (and shows a colour photograph of this and two other rooms) and describes it as as c1800-1810. She mentions that the brass clockwork 'jack' (seen here attached to the top right of the chimney breast) was in working order when she viewed the house and that it was only the second example to have been found in working condition in an English doll's house. She also mentions that the [late-18th/early-19th C] Grodenthal maid is wearing her original clothes.
