I know you weren't happy with your last dolls house build maybe room boxes would work better for you, your photography is very good.

I find your use of lighting interesting but agree need to know what you are heading towards.

Hi clamp duty
I made my comments because I couldn't see the connection with a building being constructed - the captions are rather ambiguous. Can you tell us what the ultimate plan will be?

It is always interesting to see other people's ideas and what materials they use and to finally see the end result. I guess that we all learn something from each others work - everyone has a different approach.

Presenting a work in progress is absolutely fine, clamp duty - lots of our members do this - but it wasn't obvious from the captions to your photos that this was work towards a miniature building. Have you constructed any of it?

Evening Rosemary thanks for the comment. never suppose to be finished work . didn't realise this was what the site was for.(finished pieces) maybe I read it wrong and the stuff I am doing is not modern. had an inkling but I think you are right I think I'm not in the right place for experimentation and ideas - this is not a place for scrap booking/blogging. I find the building process maybe more fun than the finished articles. I like the discovery. I am trying to build building as close as possible to real size with decent rooms. maybe it is not something to keep sharing. designing/miniatures and dolls in general- get me through the day it's a positive thing for me- creating a world( even a piece of one) that isn't this one. the last 5 pictures I did partially explain but were of a window that would go right down the side of the house not sure which side and when it was lit from the inside would look like shadows on the outside but also provide privacy. I wanted to create a building ( I wont say house cause it's gone beyond that now) that reflected me.

Clamp duty - I'm a little baffled about all this. A few years ago I did a Masters at Uni. in Fine Art and this is the sort of stuff that we would have in our sketch books as rough ideas but we would work forwards and from them - certainly not present them as a finished work. Is the red mouthed girl in a previous picture your art work or just taken form elsewhere? I'm just not getting the connection of these rough ideas/experiments with the aim of this site which is dolls' houses and miniatures. I use my houses, contents and dolls in a narrative form because I find it fun and I can present photos of many miniature items, that have both purchased and made by myself.

Can you explain what your objective is with these last 5 pictures?
