Thank you Sarah. The papers and flooring inside of the house are in great condition, just a bit faded. It's only the three you see in this picture, repeated throughout the house, with some wood looking paper on the doors. The floors are the same Lino, except for the halls. The interior doors don't fit very well or have handle's and I've just noticed two of the bay windows have come away from the brickwork..I have a lot to do before I can start on the curtains.

Great papers! I wonder if they were a mixture of whatever was available at the time. This is a very individual house and if the papers are in good condition it would be interesting to work around them.

Hi Zoe, Rosemary and Edel, i love the wallpapers & floors. They're so 60s looking in design & luckily, in a nice condition inside. Do you know, would normal wallpapers have been used or specially printed small patterned paper for dolls houses?

Dolls house wallpapers were available, by mail order from companies like Hobbies, and in shops around the country. Some people making a dolls house at home did use real wallpaper, though, leftovers from their own house or from sample books, etc. Sometimes wrapping paper with small designs was used, too. I don't recognise these designs, i don't think, so I'm not sure whether they were dolls house designs or real ones.

Is that real lino in the rooms on the right?

Interesting! The papers and flooring are real snapshot in time. I'd enjoy the challenge of getting the right furniture to creat the right look for them. Have fun, Fran and it would be great to see what you do with it in due course.

Very 60s - the use of different designs in the same room.

That's an interesting-looking mix of papers
