It is a fabulous suite though Zoe, and what a great idea to put a dresser (BT even) in the bathroom.

Thanks, Judy, I've had this lovely Twiggs suite for quite a while now and I'm really pleased to be able to use it at last. I think I pinched the dresser in the bathroom idea from Rosemary!

It looks wonderful to me and so evocative. It looks perfect for 2 elderly slightly twittery type women possibly with a bit of cataract thrown in too. I expect they think it is quite brave of them to have such bold colours. (I know as I am a bit of a twittery type myself!)

Aw, thank you, Jenny. You didn't strike me as "twittery" when I met you briefly last year! LOL

The colours in the curtains co-ordinate perfectly with the wallpaper!

Thanks, Julie. For the main part of the house I washed and re-used the curtains which came with it but I hung them in different rooms where they seem to coordinate nicely. The remaining curtains don't go terribly well with the paper on the opening door (they're all the same fabric as the ones I have put in the main part of the kitchen), plus they're not in great condition so I did my own thing downstairs (though I might keep an eye out for a more appropriately coloured braid for the pelmets) and I haven't decided what to do upstairs - I may yet salvage something from the originals if I think I can live with the colours.

Thanks, Joan. I showed my OH these photos and he said he didn't think the bathroom suite went with the wallpaper - I prefer to think he's just forgotten how hideous decor as been at times over the years!

I think it does go - not that anyone would choose it nowadays. It's a perfect period look - even if it could be considered "hideous" by present-day tastes, as you rightly point out, Zoe! I love it!
