I like the boomerang!

Aw thanks Patty. I have a bit of a story with that. Most of my dolls are from the series of Victorian Life which were £4.99 with a magazine. The only one I wanted which I couldnt get was Ernest (he is the one in the parlour with a gold crown on his head). I contacted the magazine and they couldnt help. They were discontinued. I didnt have a computer then so he could have been on ebay lol. I sent a letter to the publishers and they must have thought I was crazy with what I had written. They said they would do their best to help with my quest. They tracked Ernest down in a lock up in Austrialia... OMG I was so excited. They shipped him over free of charge with a fabulous letter for me in time for Christmas. The quest took over 2 years. He arrived at last. The house cook was so happy as she made his a special pudding. I made him a leather hat and found the boomerang and crocodile in my grandsons toys, mementos of Ernest's time in Australia. So lovely to have that story for my house.

Thanks for the compliment Zoe thats so lovely. I did have help from hubby with getting the angles right on the cornice and skirting.

My pleasure, Missy, I spent many many hours over several years (when I worked full time) doing up my Sid Cooke house and I always notice the standard of decoration and fittings, I think they make a big difference to a house, as can be seen here.

I like the wallpaper in here. The standard of finish is fab too (skirting, architraves, cornices etc).
