The Challenging Bay Window Bash
This shows how I cut open the second floor area of the door wall to create the bay window. The inside of the bay window is made out of a couple of Concord room dividers.

That's so ironic Julie. At the same time here in the States I doubt anyone was producing 1:16 scale!!

Another superb bit of improvisation, which works perfectly! You have such a good eye for the unexpected potential in everyday pieces, Shanni.

The 1980s-style kitchen units in my students house are by Concord. I bought them back in 1993 (at a high price!) from Esther Forder at what was then the London (now Kensington) Dollshouse Festival. In those days no-one in the UK was producing a modern 1:12 kitchen!

Concord is a make of 1:12 scale 70's/80's dollhouse furniture, made here in the States. Their style is mostly traditional. It took a good 3 months for me to gather two dividers (that's the window sections of the bay) and I had to strip and stain them to match. Oye! There are matching bookcases for these too, but I didn't use them in this home.

This was an ambitious little deviation which you carried out with military precision and it was well worth it as it adds character and interest to both the inside and outside of the house. Inspired! (P.S. What are Concord room dividers?)

Just what I was wondering, Zoe!
