Nan's Card Table
You can stain the table parts and buff up with some kitchen towel as recommended in the instructions, But I already had a tin of satin walnut varnish, so used that. Nan's table was a dark colour stained/varnished wood, so this was the perfect shade to use and the finished item looks just like Nans card table shrunk down to 1/12 scale. I'd highly recommend Jane Harrops kits, delivery is quick, and the are fun to make, and cost so much less than quality finished products, but are , I believe as good a quality.

It's quite 'amazing' really, it's the simpliest little thing, only a few tiny, light wood parts and some tiny brass pins, but when made up..WOW....They turn into a lifelike card table ! I absolutely love it, it'll probably be one of my most favourite 'working' bits of furniture in number 12, and yet it's'' probably be the most simple and cheapest of them all... x x xx
