My mother's mother used to use milk to shine the leaves of her aspidistra.

It's a sweet 'plant' eh...I know there used to bem and probably still is, Baby Bio leaf shine, a lot of folks also use milk, which does the same thing for a fraction of the price x x x

My mum had one of these when we were little and every week she rubbed the leaves with something, can't remember what but I thought that was why it was called a rubber plant... I was about five!!!
