That's interesting. I was dreading papering the roof. Maybe I could paint it.

Curious about the paper on the roof. Usually these houses were painted a dark red. Although the paper is the one they used to use I have not seen it on one of these models before. A lovely buy, Val.

I love having an attic too.

I don't know. It sounds a lovely idea, but I not sure how to do it. I have got one house nearly finished and another to do so I have plenty of thinking time before I start..

Oooh, what a decision! Do you think you will open up the attic, Val?

It's a lovely detail. Looking forward to seeing your restoration, Val, exciting!

If you are going to do a big strip-down, I would be tempted to make the attic accessible - it would be using "wasted" space too. My 12 has been cut into and it's a great area to store furniture and Christmas items in. The Clock house has a big attic too, the dormer and some of the roof lifts off, as you can see in Wendy's photos when she restored it. I love having an attic.

The dormer window is false, there is no room behind it. There are traces of old paper under the re papered layer.
