1960s
I've just picked up this lot of 1960s/1960s styled items. Really pleased with the items. Nicely made. I've come to the conclusion that I quite like the 1960s/retro items.

A lovely collection, Sharee, so evocative of its time. What scale is it? I've tried to work it out but I don't know the size of the squares on the board!

Julie, the squares on my work mat are 2.5 cm (1 inch). It is hard to tell exactly what scale these items are. As is often the case the scale is not true to the furniture we have today. I think they are all close to 1/12 scale though. The seat size of the green set are that size, although they are low. The wooden sideboard is almost over-sized. The white set could be slightly under 1/12. I think a lot of it has to do with the furniture they are basing the miniatures on at the time.

They are lovely, Sharee, very stylish. They look German to me - I've just spent three (enjoyable) days looking at Diepuppenstubensammlerin's photos on Flickr and they look vaguely familiar but I don't fancy trawling through all 58 pages again to see if I can spot them!!

Zoe you are brilliant. I spent last night trying to find any pictures on the web of similar furniture with no luck. I just looked at the flickr site you mentioned (which is fabulous) and found my table and chairs, fridge and clock and items similar to some of the other furniture. More research is needed but it appears this furniture is indeed German furniture. Some of it is Crailheimer Kuche und Schlafzimmer? Unfortunately I can't read German so need to try and find out a bit more. I know what I will be doing tonight. I now have a starting point for reference. Thanks.
