I think that this would work very well on a feature wall in a large-scale house.

Please don't worry, Lyss, I have plenty to get on with from the other list. Enjoy your time with your grandson.

Yeehaaa..while putting in the cardboard for the floor I accidentally scraped my nail over the white gloss painting that some nitwit had painted all around this house.
Hallelujah...underneath is a lovely original paper lino with light-brown, white and yellow speckles !!! It cost me 3 nails to clear approx. 3 square inches, but hey it's worth it.
Got my work cut out for the next couple of days :)

I'm sorry, Lyss, it cut itself off partway! If you copy the whole url (from http: to 12557 four lines below that) and paste it into a new browser window, it should work then. (I tried again, but it cut itself off again :-( )

Thank you all for your kind input.
@Zoe; the background is in fact not as white as it's shown in the photo's, it's more a light tea colour.

@Patty; I agree it's a rather large pattern, however the house is in 1:10 scale and the master bedroom is quite large with two large windows in the backwall ánd the bedroom is according to the fashion of the 50's-60's very sparingly (?) sparcely (?) decorated.

@Rebecca; thank you for the links, will have a look at them later this day.

Think I'll glue the paper to cardboard and put them in without glue-ing and leave it in the house for a couple of days to see if I like it.

Yes, I think it would look good! Just as a quick look at 50s designs, there are some 50s fabric patterns here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/diepuppenstubensammlerin/sets/721576

Some of the patterns are very big! so I think this would like fine.

Nice paper and I think it will look lovely in a 50s house.

At first, I thought 'no', but I've just had a look at some vintage 50's wallpaper styles and now i'm thinking 'actually, yes it does!', the colours and design do look the part and there was plenty of styles with a white background but I do wonder if the pattern my be a bit large??
I depends on how accurate you are bothered about being. It's a very nice paper and if I had it, I would definitely want to use it!

My thought, Lyss, is that the design and pattern colours are right for the 50 s but the background wouldn't be as white, though this could easily be altered with some sort of wash. That said, I wasn't around in the 50s so it's just my idea of that period. What is it for?
