The (temporary) bar
Another mock up, this time a Caroline's Home double bed turned on its side, with a piece of mount board Blu-Tacked on, to increase the depth. The eventual permanent bar will be longer and will have more pumps. Credits, L - R: small plain wood barrel (eBay seller highlandminis); Bell's Whisky advertisement jug (A Woman's Touch); cast metal beer pumps (handpainted by Sue Perkins (highlandminis)); plastic pineapple pencil topper, as novelty ice bucket (unknown).

Wonder what celebrations were going on here.

The facilities are used for wedding receptions out of season!

It looks like a lot of hard work - and research - to me. Maybe there should be a Degree Course in Domestic History in Miniature and I'm sure that you would obtain a First class Master's.

LOL at this. The research is a huge part of the fun!

Great piña colada thing. I'm seeing tongue in groove orangy-yellow pine, for the bar!

Before pina colada was really known in the UK, plastic pineapple ice buckets, were distributed by Britvic, the bottled fruit juice company, as promotional merchandise and were quite commonly seen on British bars in the 1960s. My pineapple was given to me by the proprietor of my local dolls house shop (Heritage Homes), which has now closed down. It was part of a bar display in the shop. I asked its price and was told it had been acquired so long ago, as a novelty, that I could have it for free.

The design of the permanent bar has been inspired by Butlin's - more than that I will not say!
