New stuff in the bedroom
I made some pictures from card, material offcuts and embroidery thread. New handmade pillows, cushions and rug.

I always feel happy when I sew tiny bits - despite the bad language when I ram the end of the needle into my finger(I can't bear thimbles) because I am making something out of nothing and it hasn't cost anything either. I took machine embroidery as one of my subjects at Art School so have had boxes of interesting scraps for years. I never need to buy anything - apart from white and black thread, which seems to be an outrageously expensive item these days. Joan, this house is looking like a home now.

i'm always changing mine, Joan. As you acquire new items things just seem to develop, but that is what this hobby is all about. After all, we can change things on a whim so easily in the dolls house, but we can't always in real life!... This looks lovely, gorgeous cushions on the bed, it's those little things that make all the difference.

It was going to be a holiday let as well but that idea has gone out the window too.

I've added a broderie anglaise trim to the roman blind now, I felt it was too minimalist. The whole house was going to be minimalist at the start but that didn't last long.
