Any idea?
I acquired this house a few months ago, I don't know if someone made it or what. The windows are plastic, on one it says Hobbys. Is it a Hobbys house or did someone make it and put in hobby windows? As I've said before I know little of dolls house makes

Back home now with my catalogues - the earliest Hobby's Annual I have is for1978-9. It has this house, described as "An original Hobby's design by Gordon Warr". As Jill has one made in 1976, it had clearly been available for a couple of years already by then - 1978/9 is Annual No 9, so it could have been issued at any time in the 1970s. The wallpapers don't vary much between this Annual and the 1993 one, so aren't much help with dating it.

Well thanks very much for your efforts Rebecca Much appreciated!!

What a cute house, lots of potential.

I was going to tidy it up and sell it but have decided I can't part with it now. It will be a good while before I tackle it though as I have others to work on. So many houses, so little time LOL

I have the identical house. It was made in 1976 by my father for my then four year old daughter and very well played with throughout her childhood. It was put back into use a few years ago for her daughter and niece when they visit
I know Dad subscribed to Hobby's and bought the plans from them. It's a lovely little house and ours is as solid as the day Emma first received it. Amazingly nearly all the original furniture has survived and is still being played with regularly.

Just to confuse us, there is W. Hobby Ltd of London, which has an annual Hobby's catalogue, and Hobbies of Dereham, which has an annual Hobbies catalogue. This dolls house is made to Hobby's Tudor Style Dolls House plan, which is still available. (Although some of the plans now available through Hobby's were first published by Hobbies!?!
When I get home (in a few days' time), I'll look through the Hobby's and Hobbies catalogues I have, and see if I can date it better from the wallpapers.
