I know the source of the metal portrait above the fireplace. Cut from a tin box containing small cigars. I have a similar one somewhere, cut from my Dad's tin many years ago.

how interesting rosemary I was wondering who he was I thought they looked like old tea cards like they used to give away in the loose tea years ago ,I think some of the others are stamps im going to have to open the creepy thing and take more photos
