Definitely leave the original glass Linda, at least it is still there and not completely smashed, thank goodness.
The interior is just fabulous, lovely dolls.

I think since it is original glass I should just leave it cracked. It is not totally broken through. Plus, where is a girl to find a piece of early etched glass? Not here in America.
