Thanks Joan. The house was restored by Celia (K T Miniatures) and I bought it from her, it came with that wallpaper, the tin fireplaces and the lace curtains.

I bought the two vintage fabric squares on ebay and they make good floor coverings downstairs. Upstairs are just a couple of lacey tablemats I found in a local charity shop.

Beautiful interior, did you do it or did it come like that?
Pat King books are very good for inspiration of things to make, and they go well in old houses. There are a few pics on here of things members have made......look in the category "made by us"

Thanks marel. I've treated this house to a lovely german sofa from Kitty Macdonalds, which is now on its way to me, and I'm definately going to have a go at making some things for it this winter. I've got a great old book by Audrey Johnson called Furnishing Dolls' Houses and that is full of patterns and good ideas. I've seen some wonderful house interiors on this group, very inspiring.

Lovely house! Take your time with furniture-there's no rush. As you say, furniture is so expensive.Sometimes it's hard to find pieces which are the right scale/look right in narrow rooms with high ceilings.Searching for furnishings and furniture can be great but can be slow,frustrating-and can be expensive. Items such as hanging lamps, pictures, clocks, vases etc. are getting harder to find at affordable prices,so sometimes,a little creative ingenuity is called for!I really like the mantlepieces-mine seem very plain in comparison. There's much inspiration to be found looking through the photo albums on this site. Everyone else's interiors always seem much better than my own!!

Thank you. I really must do something about furniture, but everything I like is so expensive.
