Kitchen update
There's been a bit of a shuffling around taking place. A new & visible family have moved in; the Ati family. Mrs Ari is washing up with the helpof one of the girls whilst another is helping herself to cake. Another is in the bath with grandma in attendance but it won't upload. In the latest incarnation of the kitchen there's a new baby in the highchair, I've been playing dolls houses a lot recently!

More lovely lamb wallpaper! All of the colours in this room work really well together.

what a lovely kitchen scene, Frances, I had not seen it before. Did you see my Ari family (la maison de Camille et Clement)?

This was the only house I have without inhabitants until the Aris moved in & I'm absolutely delighted with them. I have you to thank for them as well, as without knowing what they were or receiving the fabric & getting excited & you getting in touch with Ann for me.........
I'll try and take some more photos which will upload so you can see how well the rest of the family have settled in. I think that their bedrooms are off the landing where we can't see them LOL x

When I made my first dolls house I was adamant that I wouldn't have dolls as I thought they would hide the room. Then I found a load of lovely old dolls at a car boot sale and I was hooked! Now my first dolls house (the victorian one) has dolls in every room, even the loft! They bring a house to life, the same as people do in a real house!
My sister-in-law hates dolls in houses.I am going to make her one as a gift, but unfortunately it will have no inhabitants. It is going to be a little Irish holiday cottage,so I will have to imagine they've gone out for the day.

I'm so glad you think so. The house looks so much nicer inhabited. I know there are people who don't like dolls in their houses but I'm definitely not one of them.

Hi Frances, the Ari family are the perfect residents for this little home.
When the photos don't upload try leaving the computer for a while, sometimes they eventually appear in my experience.
