I do regret selling this to a dealer - for £50 including furniture! Should have listed it on eBay. He probably stripped it & sold the fixtures. It was perfect, the roof gleamed with patina!

Well, no choice I'm afraid. My husband was made redundant again last year so finances are tight. The house is very old and costs too much to maintain, we don't want to sell in France, the market's worse than here; I can cope with the house but not the enormous garden - too arthritic. Schizphrenic son needs us but needs a small house in this area for keeps so it makes sense to move now as there is a suitable property which we are buying as and when.Said son is renting it from close friends until we sell this house. Almost no small houses round here so it's Hobson's Choice.I could always win the lottery!.

Actually, when you get old you don't see the dust! No need to pretend.

oh frances , don't move! we have a small home ... i would kill for a large house. when i got to old, to do housework, then i'd be eccentric and pretend i don't see the dust... :)

Get rid of the furniture and keep the dolls houses!!!!!!!!!

Just had a thought - maybe you mean full size furniture, LOL. Not sure my husband would like that much - Barton beds don't look very comfortable even if we drink Alice's magic potion!

For use as cupboards perhaps? Shoes, make up, my medicines, hmm, could be a goer! xx

Space! When we move from here (large rooms, rambling 1820s house, huge garden) to our titchy, modern, manageable garden, retirement house with only 1 main room(small) and very small bedrooms there's nowhere for any of them to go. Sad but true.
