Very cheap extension
Remember CD's? And the storage you needed to get them out of sight? People start selling these Ikea boxes now and so I happened to buy two for 2 euro's each at a carboot sale. In order to use them as storage room for my miniatures(parts). Because I had no idea where to place them I decided that the put underneath my Hanse house would be PERFECT! Indeed, it was so perfect that the two of them had the exact size of my little house. And I got inspired. I removed to drawers et voilá! I now have a very cheap, perfect extension.

Hi there Cestina
As a chid I absolutely hare everything that had to do with crafts. That is why I never got good at it.
I don't enjoy it now either but it's the only way to get something done :)

Those cd boxes are a stunning idea Kitty. I have many of them (puts thinking cap on)

I have just gone carefully through your album, which I missed before, and have thoroughly enjoyed it.

Those embroidery examples explain to me why my sister-in-law Mette, from Jelling, does such wonderful full size tapestry work. Danes, like the Dutch, are clearly bred to it from an early age! She is also a stunning miniaturist - she writes for Dolls House and Miniature Scene so some of you may have come across her there.

I have 1:12 house that I bought in December 2016. It looked awful, it still does, but I managed to make stairs for two floors. It wasn't the most fun job because it is time consuming but I am somehow rather handy. (it amazes me every day)
I'm still in doubt if I shoud or shouldn't make a photo album of that house because it is rather ugly and brand-less

Do make an album, please Kitty! Your ugly could be someone else's beautiful ;-) And at the very least it will be interesting to see.

Brilliant Kitty! I like the look of the kitchen units you have put in your genius extension.
Stairs are a killer to the hands to build - all that identical cutting, sticking and sanding. Dolls don't need 100% reality in my opinion ;-)

What a very good idea. Let's see if I can make such an optical illusion (not a big fan of making stairs though)

Excellent. What a good idea, kitty. If you moved the appliances on the right hand side of the kitchen over to the left hand side and had a set of stairs put in under the hall stairs it would be totally streamlined. There's no need to cut out a hole , it would just be a lovely illusion...

The good thing: the wooden boxes make the plastic of the house look like wood too!!
