Did they all have grates though? I have obtained my deceased MIL?s DH4 and it does not have them. I know where the house has been for the last 99 years, and I feel sure she would not have removed the grates.

Contact Trevor and see if he has any for sale. he did have some - they are old thermometer parts, and he had managed to buy a lot of old stock.

If you are good with wood these should be easy enough to reproduce - and you have two originals to get the measurements right ;-)

I think Trevor does repro fireplaces too. The catalogue mentions three.
