Please see the caption to the previous picture for the history of this model number. The house seen above may be dated specifically to 1963, because that was the first year in which these decals were used on the façade, but was the last year for the card roof and metal front door. Also, from 1964, the front slid open. (Please see the previous picture for an example of an earlier model. and pictures 15-17, subsequently, later ones). The front on the model shown here opens by pivoting on two screws, top and bottom, at its left side, rather than actual hinges, which the earlier version has. The example shown here has been overpainted in cream, with royal blue windows. Originally, it would have been white, with Wedgwood blue glazing bars. Its chimney is missing. The interior of a typical No 40 may be seen in picture 18, subsequently. The interior of the house above is not shown in this Album because it has been divided, and stairs installed, by a previous owner. This adaptation, and more photos of this house, may be seen in the Album "Triang number 40" at http://www.dollshousespastandpresent.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=15827680 (This photo copyright: Paula).
