These really are fab. Did you marry into a German family, Edel or could wooden toy-making be in the blood? LOL (Patty's peg dolls ARE lovely - she sometimes sells them on eBay, I think I saw one on there recently. Beautiful cat - she looks quite miniature too!)


Zoe, yes I do have a (lovely) German husband but no woodworking skills there. My own antecedents include farmers, cattle dealers, a schoolteacher (scholarship boy), his father a mason/carpenter who died in the Great Flu of 1919, and a tailor. So maybe my need to make things comes from the last two.

And yes, Minerva is a very miniature cat. She was homeless and adopted us four years ago. She is a Norwegian Forest cat, on the tiny end of the scale for that breed at only about 6 pounds.

Thank you Jenny. Minerva likes to sit on the table when I am working, but she never interferes, just inspects things very daintily and carefully.
