Crest Cottage, 1966-70. Dimensions: 23.5 inches [60 cm] wide, 11.5 inches [29.5 cm] deep and 16.5 inches [42 cm] high.
The third largest house in the Avon series. Also given the number TM7730 in Tri-ang catalogues. (In 1966 only, there was also a flat-packed option, TM7725). The series is described in the caption to picture 66, previously. This is the earlier version of this model - it can be dated to 1966-68, because it formerly had a white wooden chimney, which would have fitted over the tile-less area on the left of the roof. (This feature may be seen on another Crest Cottage in picture 74, subsequently). By 1969, the chimney was moulded as part of the roof. Please see picture 76 for this later version. (The photo above appears courtesy of an anonymous eBay seller, who retains the copyright. Used with consent). Please see the next picture for a view of the interior of this model.
