Why Das Weisse Haus?
When I took the roof off, I found someone had slipped a toy chalkboard inside with the words "Peter geht zur Schule," written on it, "German for Peter goes to school,". As the house is going to be white and its first owner might have been to Germany I decided to call it Das Weisse Haus.

Hi Zoe - Culdrose Air Station is within traveling distance of Redruth (where I found the dolls house). I think the child might have had parents who were stationed in Germany.

Ah, that would make sense!

Intriguing German connection. The chalk board looks very pristine, I wonder how old it is and why it was in the roof.
